Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI) was founded in 2012 to help raise funds to build a much needed new animal shelter in Carson City.
With amazing support from Carson City and community volunteers, the new shelter on Airport Road opened its doors in the autumn of 2016.
At this time, CASI has been helping to equip the shelter, donating a custom built animal control vehicle and fencing as well as installing a joyful dog play yard on the west side of the shelter.
Our focus now is helping to make available spay/neuter services to pets whose families cannot otherwise afford this important service.
How you can help!
We at CASI invite you to join our team! As an organization that holds several fundraisers a year to help with spay/neuter costs, we are always looking for volunteers to help with joyful events like the CASI Pooch Plunge, Pictures with Santa and the wonderful Bark Whine & Dine dinner auction.
CASI meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30.
